June already

I have just come back from being in Hastings for the long weekend. We went up to celebrate my parents 60th wedding anniversary.
Here they are sitting in the sun we were lucky it was a lovely day.
Mum thought I might like to make the cake so with a bit of help I managed.

I am supposed to be on jury service today but I don't need to go till tomorrow so this has been a bonus day off I am catching up on chores and playing a bit.
Part 3 is completed of the homespun magazine block of the month.
And a baby quilt finished for one of the husbands clients.

Another UFO bites the dust

This quilt has taken quite a few years of slowly English paper piecing the stars I got a move on with it when I realised my only Aunty who lives in New Zealand was 90 this month. The blocks were quick and easy so putting it together didn't take long. All ready to be delivered for the birthday bash on Saturday.

Update

I would like to say I will update my blog more often as I can see its a record of what's been happening in my life. Last year I really only made the one quilt which I was lucky enough to have accepted in the Manawatu Symposium in January.

By the time I got organised and decided what I would like to do each row it was my usual leave to the last minute to finish it.
I am now working away at my Rosings quilt which was a class I did with Katrina Hadjimichael at Symposium I am loving this quilt too.  My fabrics are French General and lovely to work with.
As I don't have room for a design wall it's a bit crumpled on my bed.
I have also almost finished bags for 2 friends who are having an overseas trip including Anzac Day in Gallipolli.
