Day 3 and I'm still able to find something to write about. Today I have spent most of the day doing the final 6 of these.
The unfinished 6 are darker blue and aqua so I hope it's going to work.
In fact the colors a very like this one I made for a cousins baby in Holland which I was fortunate to gift and meet the baby.
I need to do something different for the next baby quilt I think.
This was a nice simple one I posted off to England to my husbands great great nephew makes him sound old his sister has great grandchildren we are just starting on grandchildren. The bear quilt is for grandbaby no 2 due in January.
It was quite fun to make and I can see I few more in the future.
I'm back to work tomorrow keeping up a post a day is going to be a challenge.

I've managed to finish part 2 of Good Fortune this years mystery from Bonnie Hunter.
I like to make my half square triangles a bit bigger and trim them down to the required size this is when my half square triangle ruler is great. But I will admit it's the most time consuming part.

I also tried to make a couple of blocks for my Bjorn Bear quilt designed by Elizabeth Hartman but this happened so gave that away and hopefully will get the top finished tomorrow as it's been a bit slow and now I'd like to start something new.
As you can see I was making 2 blocks at once so made the mistake twice. Oh well tomorrow is a new day hoping I have enough of the stripe fabric.

Bit of a surprise seeing action on this blog I'm taking up the challange from Cheryl of http://muppin.com/wordpress/ to join the 31 day blog writing challenge.
This weekend has been the start of the big clean up and getting the house sorted for my Daughter in law Lana's baby shower. You know what it's like you think your house is clean and tidy but it's not for visitors. We've been busy in the garden getting one room christmassy and I'm trying to get part 2 of Bonnie Hunters mystery 'Good Fortune' completed.
Trees done and a christmas quilt on the wall we are getting there.
I think I'll manage this challenge there is always so much happening in Decembet hopefully I wont get boring.
Not to sure if I like updating blogger on my phone guess I might get used to it.

2015 in review
My poor blog has been very neglected I find even though I work only 3 days a week I am not making as many quilts as I used too. But I am not complaining.
Here are my finishes for 2015 not many but maybe I didn't photograph them all.

June already
I have just come back from being in Hastings for the long weekend. We went up to celebrate my parents 60th wedding anniversary.
Mum thought I might like to make the cake so with a bit of help I managed.
I am supposed to be on jury service today but I don't need to go till tomorrow so this has been a bonus day off I am catching up on chores and playing a bit.
Part 3 is completed of the homespun magazine block of the month.

Another UFO bites the dust
This quilt has taken quite a few years of slowly English paper piecing the stars I got a move on with it when I realised my only Aunty who lives in New Zealand was 90 this month. The blocks were quick and easy so putting it together didn't take long. All ready to be delivered for the birthday bash on Saturday.
